Corporate Outreach Playbook

This playbook is for Vice Presidents of External Affairs, Vice Presidents of Professional Development, and other officers responsible for company relationships and professional opportunities.

Core idea

Approach a company as a potential partner—not simply as a source of sponsorship. A chapter can offer access to an organized community of students, relevant programming, and a dependable campus relationship. The company can offer education, career exposure, speakers, workshops, and other opportunities for members.

The strongest outreach makes that mutual value concrete while remaining honest about the chapter's size, reach, and capabilities.

Use this section

  1. Follow the end-to-end outreach process.
  2. Adapt the message templates instead of sending generic mass outreach.
  3. Review programs and partnership resources for current public starting points.
  4. Track contacts, consent, conversations, and commitments in an approved private chapter system—not in this public repository.

National sponsorship packet example

Use the 2025–2026 National packet as a reference for structure, organizational positioning, chapter highlights, benefit tiers, and presentation style.

Download the KTP National Sponsorship Packet (PDF, 22.6 MB)

This is a dated National Association packet, not a blank chapter template. It contains named National officers, National contact information, donation methods, sponsorship prices, and time-bound benefits. Chapters should obtain the appropriate approvals and replace outdated information before adapting any portion of it.

Public-content boundary

Do not add recruiter contact records, member resumes, personal information, private sponsorship pricing, negotiation history, payment details, confidential company information, or links to restricted spreadsheets. Public documentation may describe the process and use aggregated chapter statistics, but the underlying records must remain private.
